In the traditional role of sub-consultant to the architect, Providence has designed commercial buildings since the firm was founded in the early 90’s. Providence’s focus on its guiding principles of providing a constructible and affordable design in a timely way to ensure that not only will our designs be code compliant and meet the architect’s intent for the building, but also that we’ll be working with an eye always on the owner’s budget, the fact that the contractor will need to be able to build it and that all design projects need to finish on time.

It is the fact that we do not simply do our structural design in a vacuum that makes Providence a valuable member of the design team. Not only do we work closely with the architect, but we also coordinate directly with the architect’s other design sub-consultants and work to ensure that the final collective design is a well-coordinated, constructible building that the owner will be proud of and that will make the architect glad they chose Providence.

"We have worked with Providence Engineering on many projects and each one has significantly impacted our business by increasing flow and throughput capabilities. They have a great understanding of industrial processes and communicate that in a very clear and effective way. It has been a pleasure working with them over the last 27 years."
