ABC Keystone
The Keystone Center for Construction Careers features classrooms and a shop area that provides training for every facet of the construction industry.
This project included 20,000 SF of expansion plus 11,000 SF of renovations and included classrooms, offices, and a shop area that houses the ABC apprenticeship program and allows for training in every facet of the construction industry. Over 80 ABC member firms were involved, and various general contractors and specialty trade contractors teamed together, to create a building that was itself both functional and educational. Many elements of the building that are usually hidden behind architectural finishes, including structural bracing, electrical conduits, and mechanical piping, have been left exposed and are even featured so they can be used as training tools for the apprentices who use the facility.
