Providence Engineering provided structural design services for the 1,000 SF Minute Suites tenant fit-out at the Salt Lake City International Airport. The project involved the installation of private suites for travelers within the existing airport terminal.
Due to the high floor-to-ceiling height, the mechanical equipment needed to be supported from an independent cold-formed metal frame. This frame also served to support the fire separation requirements. Additionally, the project site is located in a high seismic zone, so the mechanical equipment had to be braced to withstand seismic movement.
