Lancaster's Central Garage

Providence provided structural engineer of record services for the construction of a new 450-space precast parking garage. The lowest level of the garage cuts into the adjacent grade to accommodate the site topography, and thus provided many challenges with varying existing foundation depths of adjacent properties. Coordinating closely with the architect and contractor, Providence solved many design issues related to foundation design and excavation shoring adjacent to the existing properties. In addition, the team developed design details and construction precautions to ensure the preservation of the adjacent below grade structures.
