Brothers Bar & Grill
Providence provided structural engineering services for the renovation of a former Amazon Pickup Store into Brothers Bar and Grill, a Midwestern sports bar and restaurant. The project included 8,800 square feet of renovations and the construction of a new, 1,000-square-foot mezzanine.
Construction of the mezzanine addition consisted of steel beams supporting wood framing. Due to height limitations of the existing structure, Providence designed modifications to the steel roof joists to maximize the available headroom clearance.
The mezzanine is supported by an existing steel framed floor over an existing crawl space. Providence coordinated mezzanine posts and bearing walls to minimize reinforcing of the existing supporting structure and reduce construction costs.
