Working with building code regulations, as well as FDA regulations and standards, Providence provides thorough design solutions for the food processing industry. Often complimented by our cold-storage expertise, our design process focuses on food safety at every step of the project.
Providence is well-equipped to serve as the prime consultant offering engineer of record and project management services for any food-processing related project.
From new protein and flour processing facilities, to the repair and remediation of existing facilities, Providence works closely with the owner and the sub-consultants to provide a design that encompasses both food safety and the unique needs of the client.
Leading a reliable team of expert consultants, including mechanical, electrical, civil and refrigeration engineers, Providence takes the time to deeply understand the qualities, and specific requirements, that make every food processing facility unique.
This commitment, and our depth of food-process design experience, has granted us the unique opportunity to work across North America, delivering design solutions to many valued clients.
"Champion Painting was awarded the contract for Surface Preparation and Coating Application of the Tribeca Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the West Side Highway at Chambers Street in one of the busiest areas of NYC. We knew that this would be a challenging project in all aspects, from protection of traffic and the travelling public to performing the coating application during the coldest months of the year. Champion Painting had utilized the services of Providence Engineering, and specifically Patti Seitz on numerous other projects. For this project, Patti’s design took into account all requirements and criteria. Once the design phase was complete, and while maintaining constant communication with Champion Painting, Patti worked very closely with our steel fabrication shop during the entire process, fielding and answering all questions from the fabricator. As they say, “the proof is in the pudding”, and this turned out to be the perfect dish. This is probably the first job where everything on the drawings matched up perfectly with everything in the field. From the intricate steel cable system to the fabricated outrigger system, a very difficult project was made less so, largely to a design that took into account all of our needs. Great job Patti, and Providence Engineering."
