Green Tree Market
Green Tree Market is a mixed-use, multi-tenant building providing a marketplace for the surrounding farming community offering customers a wide selection of bulk foods and features a full range of grocery items, fresh locally grown produce, deli meat, and dairy items. The market includes a café featuring freshly prepared meals, such as salads, sandwiches, and ice cream. The building also houses a cheese slicing and packaging process for a locally crafted cheese producer, providing goods for both the market and café, as well as other customers throughout the region.
Providence Engineering provided building design and structural engineering services for the newly constructed, 19,500-square-foot, pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) shell on a green-field site. Design included shallow foundation design and interior design for the fit-out of various tenant spaces.
Providence provided the design and detailing of various cold storage and food processing spaces. Cold storage spaces include a freezer and two coolers. Food processing spaces included bulk ingredient storage and a cheese slicing and packaging space.
As the engineer of record, Providence provided permit drawings for plan review by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), with responsibilities including, building code, life safety and accessibility compliance.
