Providence provided design team project management, and building and structural engineering design for the facility. The new 400,000 SF automotive parts distribution center is fully racked for product storage and includes a multi-story small parts storage mezzanine. The facility also includes office areas and employee amenities. The structural steel-framed building utilizes joists and joist girders with steel roof deck and a TPO membrane roof. Perimeter building walls and exterior shear walls are load bearing concrete tilt-wall panels on shallow concrete spread footings. The floor is a high-quality industrial concrete slab-on-ground. This project was LEED Silver Certified.
