Designed to meet LEED for Homes Criteria, the plan and placement of this house optimizes views of the surrounding fields and woodlands. Design elements include a new CMU and concrete foundation, a combination of steel moment frames and wood shear walls for lateral stability, and wood framing over a portion of the roof structure. The walls and roof of the 2,500 SF detached garage are framed with wood structural insulated panels (SIP).
