Nicholas Meat has been in business in the Loganton area for more than 30 years. It is a family owned beef processing plant that employs about 300 people and processes around 600 cattle a day.
Providence has led multiple design and construction teams through the continued ongoing phased expansion of the facility. Expansion projects have been planned and designed to continually increase facility production and productivity while allowing the plant to continuously operate during construction. Projects completed to date include a +65 degree processing floor, +35 degree seven door dock, +35 degree fabrication room, five +35 degree hanging coolers, +30 degree cooler warehouse, -10 degree freezer warehouse, employee welfare spaces, and front office. Current and upcoming projects in construction and design include -40 degree blast freezer and +55 degree box-making and packaging rooms, +65 degree harvest floor expansion, and +65 degree offal processing building.
