Yuengling Museum and Retail Store
The museum, across the street from the site of America's oldest brewery, is Yuengling's former creamery, constructed in Pottsville during the onset of Prohibition in 1920.
Providence was chosen to assist with the renovation of the existing Yuengling Creamery building into the Yuengling Museum and Retail Store. The abandoned building was constructed in the 1920’s and left to the elements for 5 years. Providence had to confirm that the existing gravity framing had sufficient capacity to support the building’s proposed use. Providence also created a slab opening in the first floor for the new front entrance as well as associated new, recessed, floor/ramp framing to accommodate an ADA accessible main entrance.
