Wegmans Food Markets - Virginia Service Center
Wegmans required a southern distribution center to support its continued expansion. This new 1-million-square-foot facility includes dry grocery storage, coolers, and freezers. Designed as a cross-dock warehouse, it features separate receiving and shipping offices located on their respective docks.
The spacious shipping docks, approximately 80 feet deep, allow for full truckload staging while maintaining efficient circulation. At the heart of the facility is a two-story office space housing administrative offices, locker rooms, a break room, a fitness center, and other employee amenities. The site also includes a security building and a trailer stripping operation building.
