RIDC Carrie Furnace
The Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern PA (RIDC) is working to develop a 44-acre site at Carrie Furnace located along the Monongahela River. Part of this development includes a 60,000-square-foot Flex-Tech warehouse and a 52,000-square-foot film and entertainment industry hub.

Providence provided structural engineering services for these two buildings, featuring an exterior combining precast concrete wall panels, corten steel panels, and expansive storefront glass. The roof framing is designed with conventional steel joists and joist girders, offering a soaring clear height of approximately 40 feet.
The Flex-Tech building has multiple loading docks to allow for seamless truck access. Both buildings feature steel-framed canopies.
