Ground-Breaking Care

Fresenius Medical Care, the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services, recently broke ground on a new distribution center in Knoxville, TN. This new distribution center will help support Fresenius’ efforts to expand access to life-sustaining dialysis treatment and increase the number of patients who can choose home dialysis therapy.

With an increasing number of people living with chronic kidney disease and kidney failure, this distribution center will ensure a reliable product supply, as well as provide a location to store, and distribute nationally, all products manufactured at the nearby plant.

Providence Engineering Corporation is proud to join forces with Whiting Turner Contracting Company to provide design and construction of this new 618,000 SF distribution center for Fresenius Medical Care.

Joined by Paragon Engineering Services and Eldon R. Stoltzfus Architect, the design team is providing project design management, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design. In addition to the 600,000+ SF of distribution space, the facility also includes 25,000 SF of office area and employee amenity space.

Providence is very proud to be a part of this project, which is benefiting patients living with kidney disease and empowering them to choose the best treatment option for their individual needs.
