One key to my success in the industry has been the guidance and support of great mentors like Becky and Patrick, coupled with a strong emphasis on teamwork and cooperation.

What advice do you have for young professionals starting their career in engineering?

For young professionals starting their career in engineering, I advise taking time to grasp the fundamentals, as everything else will naturally follow with experience.

What’s the one thing that prepared you the most for your career in engineering?

In terms of preparation for my engineering career, my involvement in Girl Scouts, particularly focusing on STEM activities, and a college senior project where we designed and built a retractable ladder for dump trucks were instrumental.

What is one of your favorite projects and why?

One of my favorite projects has been Issei Noodles, not only because it challenged me to learn gas piping design and sizing for the first time but also because it’s one of the few places I’ve worked on that once complete, I can enjoy with my family.
