RIDC Fairywood
The Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern PA (RIDC) is working to develop a 25-acre vacant site in the Fairywood neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh. Part of this developement included a ground-up industrial warehouse.
Providence provided structural engineering services for this 150,000 SF project. The building is an insulated bearing wall, pre-cast and steel framed warehouse that includes 13,000 square feet of office and sales space, 18 loading dock positions, one drive-in door, and three pick-up doors.
The office space was designed as a two-story framed platform within the warehouse, offering a clear height of 10 feet. Additionally, there is 30 inches of open space beneath the second-floor framing, specifically designated for MEP equipment.
