Cartoon Network Hotel
The Cartoon Network Hotel is a kid-friendly, cartoon-themed hotel with 165 rooms. This project included renovations to an existing 2-story, 30,000 SF building as well as renovations to 35,000 SF of an adjacent motel-style building.
The 2-story main hotel building has been renovated to include a framed enclosure in the lobby for a new chair lift as well as a new vestibule at the main entrance.
The existing wood truss canopy roof was replaced with a steel-framed flat canopy roof with a large opening in the middle for lighting. Providence’s design allowed for resuse of the existing steel columns and steel perimeter beam. New steel -framed and metal-stud wing walls were added to the exterior south face of the main building.
Providence inspected the existing cantilevered concrete walkways at the existing motel building, identified defective concrete and provided drawings to repair the concrete walkway.
