Hillcrest Senior Residences recently received Passive House certification from the Passive Housing Institute US, making it one of the largest certified buildings in the United States.
Passive House certification is a voluntary process that aims to significantly reduce a building’s energy consumption and operating costs. Providence provided structural engineering services for this 66-unit apartment building located just south of downtown Pittsburgh. Intended for seniors age 62 and better, the four story building provides easy access to public transit, healthcare, shopping and library services.
