With nearly 30 years of experience, Darla brings a wealth of knowledge and a knack for connecting clients with the right solutions. Whether she’s collaborating with colleagues, navigating the ins and outs of cold storage facilities, or sharing a laugh with her team, Darla makes every interaction thoughtful and engaging.
Question 1: What does being an employee-owner mean to you?
I like having a vested interest in the health and future of our company. Being an employee-owner makes you think about the bottom line of the company and helps rein in unnecessary spending and drives productivity.
Question 2: Describe Providence in 3 words.
Intelligent. Trustworthy. Friends.
Question 3: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?
Stop. Eating. Sugar.
Question 4: What’s the first concert you ever attended?
Journey in 1986 with Steve Perry as lead singer—and let me tell you, there is NO comparison.
Question 5: What’s one movie, book, or TV show you never get tired of?
The Sound of Music. I can watch that film on repeat and it never bores me. Julie Andrews is insanely talented and fabulous and the Austrian countryside is balm for the eyeballs.
Stay tuned each month as we continue to highlight more of our employee-owners and share their unique stories. We’re excited to showcase the people who make Providence a great place to work!
