Dot Foods Freezer Expansion
Providence Engineering provided structural design services for a 33,157 square foot expansion of Dot Foods’ frozen warehouse facility in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The project added 8,500 square feet of cold dock space and 9 new dock doors to support increased distribution capacity.
The structural scope included insulated metal wall panels (non-load-bearing), steel joists and joist girders for the roof framing, and perimeter steel girts. Foundations were designed with drilled piers bearing into bedrock, supporting cast-in-place concrete grade beams. The floor system features a multi-layered design with a wearing slab, insulation, vapor barrier, and a warming grid slab to maintain temperature control.
The project was delivered using a Design-Build approach.
