Employee-Owner Spotlight: Emilee Traver

This month, we’re highlighting Emilee Traver, our Marketing Manager who helps keep Providence Engineering connected and visible.

Emilee has more than eight years of marketing experience in the A/E/C industry, supporting engineers with qualification packages, resumes, project sheets, and overview materials. She also manages Providence Engineering’s website and social media accounts, and works closely with the Business Development team to help connect our services with clients and opportunities.

Question 1: What does being an employee-owner mean to you?

Being an employee-owner means having a personal stake in the company’s success. It’s about contributing to something bigger than myself, knowing that the work I do, whether it’s creating marketing materials, managing our social media, or supporting the Business Development team, directly impacts our engineers, our projects, and our clients.

Question 2: If you weren’t a marketer, what profession would you be in?

I’d probably still be in marketing, just in a different industry. The gaming and esports world has always fascinated me, and it seems like a fun space to combine creativity with strategy!

Question 3: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to focus on what I can control and give my best effort in those areas. In marketing and really in any role, there are always factors outside of your control, but by putting energy into the things I can influence, I’ve learned I can make a meaningful impact.

Question 4: What’s your hidden talent or hobby most people don’t know about?

I am a huge World of Warcraft gamer! I’ve been playing since 2011 and have logged over 17,000 hours in the game. I’ve even got a Horde tattoo to show my love for the series.

Question 5: What’s the first concert you ever attended?

Warped Tour 2008.

Stay tuned each month as we continue to highlight more of our employee-owners and share their unique stories. We’re excited to showcase the people who make Providence a great place to work!
