Representing the United States at the Inaugural CANUS Masonry Summit

Providence’s own Heather Sustersic, P.E. is in Canada this week, representing the United States at the inaugural CANUS masonry summit.

The CANUS project is jointly sponsored by NCMACCMPA, CMDA, and CSA, wherein industry and University experts in masonry design from the US and Canada are conducting a comprehensive comparison of the requirements of TMS 402 and CSA 304 through archetype and parametric studies to identify potential improvements that can be implemented in both countries.

Heather is one of seven engineers invited to represent the United States in this effort and is on the team focused on identifying and quantifying differences in the out-of-plane design provisions of each country’s code.
