Cumberland Viaduct
A well traveled structure spanning over rail, roads, parks and rivers in Cumberland, MD.
Encompassing approximately (1) mile of elevated structure, Providence provided the design of suspended platforms necessary to perform work associated with the blasting, painting and repair of the existing bridge structure. In order to reduce calculation time, we used in-house spreadsheets developed for aiding in analyzing 850+ beams for adequate capacity under increased loading.
