Thursday, February 20th was a day to recognize women in engineering. Female students from several York County school districts were invited to attend an annual event called “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day.” Over 100 middle school, high school, and college females attended the 2020 event.
Michelle Benoit, P.E. and Carol-Ann Denning, P.E. represented Providence Engineering. They assisted with a STEM activity where students built towers using marshmallows, spaghetti, and tape. The girls also had an opportunity to network with many local female engineers to learn more about the various disciplines of engineering.
